Tractor Lubricants
Maintenance and performance with our tractor lubricants
In this section, we offer agricultural professionals and mechanics an extensive range of technical fluids specifically designed for heavy machinery. Our catalogue of tractor lubricants ranges from engine oils to solutions for transmissions and hydraulic systems, engineered to withstand the demanding working conditions in the field, such as high loads and extreme temperatures.
Maintaining proper lubrication is vital to prevent premature wear of parts and ensure the longevity of the equipment. Here you will find mineral and synthetic formulations, as well as multifunctional oils, suitable for various types of tractors, harvesters and agricultural implements, in compliance with the industry’s quality standards.
Key factors for selecting agricultural oils
- Manufacturer specifications: Always consult the machinery manual to verify the required standards (API, ACEA or brand-specific standards).
- SAE viscosity: Choose the appropriate viscosity grade (such as 15W40 or 10W30) according to ambient temperature and technical recommendations.
- Type of application: Determine whether you need an engine-only oil, a transmission oil or a universal fluid (STOU/UTTO).
- Additive properties: Consider products with detergent, dispersant and anti-wear additives to protect the engine against soot and friction.
- Brake system compatibility: Make sure the fluid is compatible with wet brakes if your tractor has this system.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a UTTO and a STOU oil?
The main difference lies in their versatility. UTTO (Universal Tractor Transmission Oil) is intended exclusively for transmissions, hydraulic systems and wet brakes, but it should never be used in the engine. STOU (Super Tractor Oil Universal) is a multifunctional fluid that can be used in the engine as well as in the transmission and hydraulic system.
How many working hours between lubricant changes?
The change interval varies depending on the type of oil (engine or hydraulic), the age of the machinery and the intensity of the work carried out. Generally, manufacturers specify intervals between 200 and 600 service hours. We recommend always checking the vehicle’s technical data sheet for accurate maintenance.
Can I use car oil in an agricultural tractor?
It is not recommended. Agricultural engines and transmissions operate at very different RPMs, loads and temperatures than passenger cars. Tractor lubricants contain specific additives designed to combat oxidation, sludge and corrosion typical of heavy machinery—properties that a standard automotive oil does not usually provide.
Are these lubricants compatible with older tractors?
Yes, we offer suitable options for both modern machinery with exhaust aftertreatment systems and older tractors. For the latter, it is crucial to select the correct viscosity and mineral base so as not to damage aged gaskets and seals.
